Community Choirs

Working with other musicians, singers and artists in and around Crewe, I began a tremendously exciting singing project in May 2017: MicWireUK. So far, MicWire has attracted over 25 regular singers and we have performed at The Nantwich Show, The Big Day Out and have requests for future singing opportunities in the county. We focus our repertoire mainly on uplifting Soul and Motown hits and everyone is welcome to join us.

I also have the immense pleasure of conducting the two Alsager Community Choirs of 100+ enthusiastic singers. We rehearse Monday evenings and Tuesday afternoons in Alsager and perform regularly at local events. The choirs were founded by local musician Matthew Thomason who has since moved to Cornwall, but who continues to arrange some delicious music for us to devour and perform. New members always welcome.

I am also extremely lucky to work with a wonderful community choir in Adderley, Shropshire. Wednesday’s Voice perform hugely enjoyable concerts and events to raise money for charity. The choir do not rehearse regularly, but re-convene close to a big event and work incredibly hard to provide superb entertainment for the local community and friends.

I frequently work with choirs in schools either as part of an arts scheme or as part of a creative school project. These choirs have concluded their choral enjoyment by performing at school open days, showcase assembly’s for parents’, summer fetes or even at local care homes.
