This year International Womens Day falls on 8th March.

To celebrate #IWD, Motherwell Cheshire have a huge programme of #womensupportingwomen events taking place ALL WEEKEND from 6th March – 8th March inclusive. You don’t have to stay for it all, but you can drop in and out as you wish.

I am proud to have been put in contact with the organising committee to help provide some musical entertainment for the event. Naturally, I’ve asked a few of my lovely female students if they would be able to oblige and sure enough, some have put together video recordings of themselves which will be shown on Saturday night next week. BIG thanks ladies for getting involved, your videos are brill!

MicWire, the Crewe based choir who I lead, have also submitted two songs from our latest online singing project (our next one starts this week if you want to join us, click here) – we showed these on our Facebook Page last week and have already raised £75 for Motherwell in donations via our generous friends and supporters! These videos will be shown again on March 6th during the Motherwell Event.

Finally, The Baker Street Belles have also created a special mash up, especially for the IWD celebrations.
